On the 15th July 1984 she accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour at Rhema Bible Church in Westridge, Mitchell’s Plain. The Senior Pastor at the time realised that she had a good voice, but more importantly, he recognized the call of God upon her life, and so she started leading Praise and Worship 1987, after finishing the Beginner’s Classes. A year later, in 1988 she was appointed Cell Group Leader, and in 1990 she was appointed Assistant Choir Master.
In 1991, sensing the call upon her life, she left Cape Town for a brief period, and attended Mission School At Fill The Gap Ministries Gauteng, fully supported by her Senior Pastor.
On her return to Cape Town, she again became involved in Worship, taking up the responsibility of becoming one of the worship leaders. She sensed her call to minister to women, and became involved with Women Aglow, as the Assistant Leader of the Mitchell’s Plain Branch.
In 1994 she was appointed as Youth Leader at the Tafelsig Branch, and left Rhema Bible Church 2 years later, after her Senior Pastor acknowledged that they did not cater for women in the pulpit. He encouraged her to find a new spiritual home that would be able to provide the platform she would need to fulfil the call of God upon her life.
After visiting a few churches, she took membership at New Wave Ministries in 1997, and was appointed PA to Senior Pastor Danny Pearson, and Worship Leader. Under the leadership of Apostle Pearson she started a Community Computer School, attended New Wave Bible School (affiliated to Kenneth Hagin Bible School USA), became a lecture at the New Wave Bible School, and took on the position of Assistant Choir Master
In 2006, on her 40th Birthday, she was ordained as a Pastor. In all, she served at Rhema Bible Church for 13 years, and at New Wave for 25 years in various positions.
Over the years she has received various prophetic words regarding her calling to minister to women. During lockdown in 2020, she began to sense a new excitement bubbling in her heart, and this followed by 2 dreams the Lord gave her during the same time, she sensed that the time was right. The name Embracing EVE came from listening to a teaching about Eve. She believed that the Lord was saying “It is time for EVE (all the Eves in the world) to be embraced. She sensed the Lord saying that it was time for world, over the world, needed to find their voices and their places in the world. For too long women have been in the background, and the Lord is putting the spotlight on women. Proof of this is the sudden influx of
